Kate was walking on the road, with some files in her hand. A car was moving speedily towards her. Before she could even move aside, she fell to the ground. This made the driver of the car step on the brakes. He rushed out, and came to where Kate had fallen on the floor.
“Hello? Are you okay? He asked, and Kate stood up, and looked at him. He was dressed in suit. He was quite handsome and looked in his forties.
“I am fine” Kate answered. She tried picking one of her things that had already fallen, but he quickly bent and picked it for her. He handed it over to her, and she took it.
“Thank you” Kate said.
“I am sorry that I almost hit you. Actually, my driver isn’t with me. That’s why. Are you sure you’re fine? Shall I take you to see the Doctor? The man asked.
“No. I am fine. Thanks anyway. I would be going, right now” Kate said.
“Wait. Excuse me. Where are you going to? I can drop you” The man offered.
“I wasn’t actually going anywhere specific. I’ve just been seeking a job in town” Kate said, and the man nodded.
“Oh! Is that so? Well then, come drink coffee with me for a while. I may be able to help” The man said.
“Sorry Sir. I don’t really know you, so it’s difficult for me to just follow you” Kate said.
“I don’t bite. I can even show you my ID Card of you wish” The man persuaded.
PRESENT;
“I explained my problems to Mr Greg. Mr Greg also told me everything one would need to know about him. He was already forty one, but still single. He had quite a number of ladies whom he loved and had also claimed to love him. But after gaining what they wanted from him, they all had left him. Why? The reason is that Mr Greg had always been a sick, right from childhood. Due to the wealth his parents had, he was able to survive. He suffered epilepsy from childhood, but was still able to keep surviving and doing what everyone else could do. His parents later died, and he took over their business. He wasn’t able to find one who would truly love him for who he is. After hearing his story, I pitied him. He later gave me a job in his Magazine Company, which really paid well. I was able to move to this city to live in this house with my family. Our lives have really become better. Mr Greg and I, became very close to each other. We shared our joy and sadness. And then, I came to know that Mr Greg loves me. I also began to love him too, because he and I have a similar problem; and that’s to find true love. I also loved him for his kind nature. He was also interested in marrying me. On the day he was about to propose to me, he suddenly slumped. He was rushed to the hospital. That was when I came to know that he also had cancer. In sick bed, he told me that he loves me, and will love me till death. And then, he gave up the ghost. I mourned his death. He really made me feel important. He showed me that I deserved to be loved. But death quickly took him away. After his death, his greedy whom I’ve never seen before, took everything he had, to themselves. I couldn’t continue working there, so I decided not to work there anymore. Luckily, Mr Greg’s loyal assistant, along with his loyal workers, suggested we join hands and build up our own Magazine. We succeeded in renting a place, and we started. Luckily, we are contented with the output. I got love this year, but lost it to the death. Maybe the right month still remains the month I believed in the previous year. Tomorrow begins a new month. And my wish, is still to find Love In December” The Lady saidm she turned the lights on, and she was none other than Kate. She put things in order, turned the lights off, and went to bed after saying her prayers.
