In shadows we dwell

Your absence drapes my world in muted gray, 

A shadowed realm where love no longer blooms. 

Each step I take recalls a brighter day, 

Now lost within these melancholy rooms. 

I wonder, do you think of me at all? 

Do memories of joy still light your way? 

Or did my faltered heart bring forth the fall, 

That turned your warmth to winter’s chill array? 

My hands once reached for you, my love, my guide,
