Revelation

kenny

Beginning with carrying all my staff to the guest room, I further decided to go silent about everything. During the first few days, Kenny tried his level best to talk to me, but I usually gave him a deaf ear. I left Suzie to do all the work, serving him included. I didn’t care anymore about his movements. My love for him had slowly died. The only thing I was remaining with was to get a chance to bury it.

A sight of him would make me almost puke. I made sure he rarely touched nor talked to Angel. Time came, and it was as if he was used to me, and my behaviour at large. He did his business, whereas I did mine too. A few moments, upon receiving visitors when both of us are around, I would completely pretend as if all was well between us. I guessed our guests usually left with smiles of admiration on their faces. What a beautiful and happy couple they are! They used to wonder. Every other day that passed by, I thought of how I could get back at Kenny. What I would do to him that would make him hate me for the rest of his life.

This took me a full month. I finally made up my choice. I was to flirt with his bestie Johnny. Most often, I texted Johnny and I made sure we chat until late. Whenever he tried asking why I would chat him up so late, and where Kenny was, I would tell him he was already asleep.

“You are such a great guy Johnny. Lindsay must have been lucky to have you.” I told him. I guessed this must have brought a smile on his face.

“Sure, but I lost her…” he replied. I wanted to ask him why but I decided not to.

“If you look so adorable on the outside, I can’t imagine how you are, from the inside.” I texted.

“Hahahaha, you are killing me!” he responded.

“Seriously. Mind showing me some…”

“Meaning?”

“A photo of you, inside.” I texted back, with thirsting emojis.

“But are you sure Kenny is asleep?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“You sure I’m not chatting with Kenny?”

“Yes.”

“Can I video call you to confirm?”

“It’s well. But no talking okay?” I told him and at that, moment rushed and changed into my transparent nightie. I made sure I was seductive enough. He called, Asap, and we only smiled at each other, without a word. He was wearing a boxer, but I couldn’t help but stare in great admiration at his great muscles. I ended the video myself and texted again.

“You look great.”

“Thanks. You look great too. Send me your best photo.”

“My best?”

“Yes…you know what I mean. I’ll send you mine too, no worries.” He responded. I put off my nightie, and took a full photo of me. I sent to him.

“Oh my! You girl…this is what you have been hiding all along…I want to meet with you.” He said.

“This early?”

“Yeah. See what I have for you…” it came along with his photo too at this moment, all I thought about was this man. We went on to discuss our meeting, where it would take place, and at what time. We agreed at his place, in the morning after Kenny had left for work.

“Good night sweetie.”

“Good night darling.” He replied. I wanted to think twice; about what I was going to do, but something kept pushing me…I had no reason to worry. After all, Kenny had been doing the same for how long I couldn’t tell. Just couldn’t wait for the next morning to come…and in just a wink of an eye, it was morning. I heard a knock on my door, I knew it was Kenny since I knew the difference between his knock and Suzie’s knock. I refused to open. He decided to push an envelope down side, into the room. I watched, but acted in no way.

I laid still, for some more minutes, until I woke up, breastfed Angel and took a shower.

“Daddy Angel left already?” I asked Suzie.

“Yeah. Like thirty minutes ago.”

“Okay. Going to work too.”

The bridal business Kenny had started up for me was a good one, but thanks be to God, I had a girl who used to help me. I pecked my Angel and left, calling Johnny immediately.

“I thought you had changed your mind.” He said.

“How would I? Give me directions.” I told him and he told me he would send them on WhatsApp. At this moment, I thought about the envelope Kenny had pushed under my door. I had neither touched it nor read through it. Were they divorce papers or was it an apology? I wondered but did not dive so much into it. Whatever it was…
